Valters Kaže

Vice-Rector for Research and Development, Professor


Professor Dr.oec. Valters Kaže has been working in education for more than thirty years. He earned his PhD in Economics (Dr.oec.) from the University of Latvia. His primary research interests are related to AI in education, consumer behaviour, international marketing, and business strategy.

He is the author of more than 40 international scientific publications, including several monographs. Professor Valters Kaže is the author and instructor of Marketing Management, International Marketing and Communication, Marketing and Communication in Health Care courses at RISEBA University.

He is also a visiting professor at AKAD University (Stuttgart, Germany), Riga Business School (a Riga-based business school backed by Ottawa University and the State University of New York at Buffalo), and Riga Graduate School of Law.

Professor Valters Kaže is frequently invited as an engaging keynote speaker at international business conferences.


Valters Kaže has more than twenty years of experience in marketing and strategy management. During his career, he has held strategy, sales and marketing executive leadership roles at leading international companies internationally within financial services and FMCG sectors, such as RSA Group (insurance), SEB Bank (financial services), SPI Group and Amber beverage Group (FMCG), and the role of CEO and Managing Partner at Ex Novo innovation consultancy.

Valters Kaže is a member of the board of the Latvian Association of Marketing Professionals – the national association of marketing practitioners, and the Advanced Information Society Association – NGO investing efforts in growing information literacy.
