In 1979 she graduated from Riga Technical University as an engineer-economist. In 2001 she obtained a PhD in Education from the University of Latvia. Raina Vīra is an assistant professor at the RISEBA University of Business, Arts and Technology. She has developed and teaches various Management courses.
Alongside her academic work, she conducts corporate training and advises Latvian business and public administration managers on topical issues of managing organisations. Raina Vīra’s main focus is on HR issues in Latvia. She is the author of several publications. She has participated in local and international projects both as a participant and project auditor. Member of the Board of the Latvian Education Foundation. Head of the RISEBA Constitutional Council since 2010.
Raina Vīra believes that lecturing is a mission.
