Ilmārs Kreituss

Chair of the Senate


Ilmārs Kreituss holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry and has worked as an assistant professor at the University of Latvia and in research at the University of Notre Dame (USA). Later turned to banking and finance. He obtained a professional banker’s certificate from The Chartered Institute of Bankers. He has more than 15 years of practical experience in management positions in banks and other financial institutions. After returning to higher education, he worked as Vice-Rector at the School of Banking and from 2010 as Vice-Rector at RISEBA.

Currently, he is a professor and the Chairman of the RISEBA Senate. His research interests include the activities of banks, venture capital funds and other financial institutions, as well as entrepreneurship financing and innovation implementation.
