RISEBA students and academic staff will soon have access to a new interdisciplinary space – the AI Lab – equipped with advanced AI-enabled computing solutions offering high processing power and state-of-the-art audiovisual technology.
The AI Lab will be located at Meža iela 3, and plans are already underway to expand its availability to a 24/7 access mode, a unique approach within Latvia’s higher education landscape. This initiative continues the good practice established by RISEBA’s Faculty of Media and Creative Technologies – ensuring round-the-clock access to laboratories – and extends similar opportunities to students in business, psychology, and other social science disciplines.
A special focus in developing the laboratory has been placed on the needs of doctoral students and researchers, providing professional access to artificial intelligence tools and computational power for local data processing. At the same time, users will have access to more than ten leading collections of scientific articles as well as real-market information databases, including the extended capabilities of Euromonitor and Statista. RISEBA is among the few higher education institutions in Latvia that provide access to these databases for all students and researchers.
In addition, the AI Lab will offer audiovisual content creation tools that will help academic staff develop modern, interactive teaching methods by integrating AI solutions into the learning and research process.
