RISEBA Students Participate in BritCham “Business Time Machine – 30 Case Challenge”
This March, the anniversary event Business Time Machine – BritCham 30 Case Challenge brought together leading business schools and the BritCham community at Wellton Riverside SPA Hotel.
Student teams from Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, RISEBA University of Applied Sciences, Riga Business School, and Riga Graduate School of Law analysed authentic business cases reflecting key decision-making moments in Latvia’s development over the past three decades.
RISEBA was represented by two international teams from Bachelor-level study programes.
One team presented Case No.1 – “Latvia Between the EU and the UK: Lessons from 30 Years of Transformation,” examining Latvia’s strategic positioning between the European Union and the United Kingdom.
The second team worked on Case No.2 – “State vs Private Ownership in Latvia’s Energy Sector: The Latvenergo Question,” addressing strategic considerations regarding ownership models in the energy sector.
The students demonstrated a high level of analytical thinking, teamwork and strategic insight while addressing complex real-world business challenges. Particular recognition goes to the student presenters Patrīcija Baumane and Dmitrijs Boiko (Team 1) and Olga Getmane (Team 2), who delivered outstanding presentations and effectively represented their teams on stage.
We sincerely thank BritCham, RISEBA’s long-standing cooperation partner, for this valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration between academia and experienced business leaders.
