RISEBA Student Among the Winners of the “OCTA in Gen Z Language” Hackathon
RISEBA student Laura Krūzmane from the Public Relations and Advertising Management programme has become one of the winners of the “OCTA in Gen Z Language” hackathon organised by LTAB and Balcia!
Twenty young participants took part in the hackathon, working in teams to develop creative communication campaigns aimed at engaging a Gen Z audience within the insurance sector. During the event, four campaign concepts were created, and a prize fund of EUR 5,000 was distributed.
As emphasised by LTAB Chairman of the Board Jānis Abāšins, the aim of the hackathon was to give young people the opportunity to create ideas and solutions themselves that would help develop communication approaches understandable and relevant to a Gen Z audience.
Meanwhile, Jānis Lucaus highlighted that young people’s habits and understanding of insurance directly influence their behaviour in everyday situations. Therefore, it is important to understand how the younger generation thinks and makes decisions.
We are proud of Laura’s achievement and delighted to see RISEBA students among the emerging talents of the communications industry!
