RISEBA strengthens collaboration with KEDGE Business School, Focusing on the Development of Sustainability Education
On October 4, RISEBA University’s Rector’s Assistant, Laura Dauginoviča, traveled to the beautiful French city of Bordeaux to meet with the university’s international partner, KEDGE Business School. During the meeting, the development perspectives of sustainability education and best practices were discussed, along with initiatives for social responsibility and ethics in education.
KEDGE Business School is an international partner of RISEBA University – the cooperation agreement between the two institutions facilitates student exchange programs. RISEBA University students can study at KEDGE Business School under a dual degree exchange program, while KEDGE Business School students can study at RISEBA in the European Business Studies program. This collaboration between Latvian and French universities enhances students’ knowledge and skills, providing them with new life and learning experiences.
The meeting also covered topics related to global sustainability development (United Nations SDG goals), including sustainability strategies, sustainability index and its evaluation, carbon footprint measurement, and promoting sustainability awareness among students, staff, and faculty. In recent years, RISEBA University has structured its academic work to address daily challenges and potential solutions related to sustainability. Such meetings and knowledge exchanges allow the university to further develop its approach and place greater focus on environmental development and sustainability issues.
“It was a very important experience. Existing cooperation was evaluated, new partnerships were formed, educational experiences were shared, and valuable information was gathered for benchmarking. The insights gained during the working visit will help enhance RISEBA’s work as a sustainable university,” said Laura Dauginoviča.
RISEBA University has signed cooperation agreements within the Erasmus+ program with over 130 partner universities in Erasmus+ program countries and partner countries.
