RISEBA Professor Valters Kaže’s Digital Twin Receives Prestigious German Studienpreis 2026 Award
The digital twin of RISEBA Professor and Vice-Rector for Science and Development Valters Kaže has received another significant international recognition – AKAD University’s project “KI im Fernstudium” (“AI in Distance Learning”) has won the Studienpreis 2026 award in the category “Fernstudienprojekt des Jahres 2026” (“Distance Learning Project of the Year 2026”). The award is presented by the German Federal Association of Distance Learning Providers, recognising innovative and high-quality solutions in higher education distance learning.
The award was presented to AKAD University’s AI-based study project, centred around Professor Valters Kaže’s digital twin – a virtual model of the professor designed to complement the learning process in an international business course. The digital professor provides students with academic support and consultations via video or audio at any time of the day, not replacing the lecturer but extending his availability within the digital learning environment.
