“Project management is like conducting an orchestra.” – For the first time, a conference dedicated to project management will take place in Riga

On November 8, a conference focused on project management will be held at the H2O6 center in Riga, organized by the RISEBA University in collaboration with the Latvian National Project Management Association (LNPVA). The conference organizers emphasize that this is the first event of its kind in Riga, offering a great opportunity to gain new knowledge and ideas. During the conference, a range of tools that can strengthen the industry in the long term will also be highlighted.

Conference will be held in Latvian.

Project managers increasingly face periods of heightened work intensity, dealing with problems and mitigating risks, which can lead to tension and increased stress levels. At the same time, project managers need to be creative and motivated. Balancing all of this is indeed a challenge. Therefore, it is crucial for project managers to receive support—not to remain isolated, but to meet, network, and share experiences.

At the conference, industry specialists will seek and create answers to questions such as how to improve in the profession, how to lead discussions, how to be a project manager without dedicated support structures, and what project management tools can be used to achieve specific goals.

RISEBA University offers a master’s program in “Project Management” and a professional development program in “Project Management with Agile, Kanban, Scrum, and Lean.” Recognizing that one of the primary needs of project managers is to meet and network, organizing such a conference seemed meaningful—providing essential knowledge to those who need it. Thus, the Latvian National Project Management Association, in collaboration with RISEBA, is convinced that such a conference is necessary right now.

“Project management is like conducting an orchestra; precision is fundamental. It requires not only technical skills but also the ability to unite people, plan time and resources effectively. This conference could be considered a masterclass for conductors—an opportunity to learn new melodies and enhance professionalism. Only by working together can we create the symphony of the future. This event is significant as it will be the first of its kind for project managers in Riga,” says one of the conference organizers, Inese Slūka, director of the master’s program in “Project Management” at RISEBA.

RISEBA University’s motto is: “A PLACE WHERE BUSINESS MEETS ART.” The H206 quarter under RISEBA is a modern and creative environment with a forward-looking perspective. Therefore, when choosing the venue for the conference, the H206 quarter was specifically selected, as its concept aligns well with the work environment of project managers.

The number of participants in the conference is limited. Interested individuals can purchase tickets online:
