Changes in Management at RISEBA University

The Rector of RISEBA University, Professor Lūcija Rutka, has decided to conclude her tenure with the university as of February 1, 2025, to pursue new career growth opportunities.

After eight productive years at RISEBA, including two years as Rector implementing significant development-oriented transformation programs, Professor Lūcija Rutka, a Doctor of Psychology, has chosen to focus on realizing her creative ideas and research projects. In the near future, two innovative books authored by Lūcija Rutka and dedicated to pedagogical psychology will be published.

On behalf of himself and all university staff, the Chairman of the Board of the Business, Arts, and Technology University RISEBA, Jevgenijs Kurovs, expresses deep gratitude to Lūcija Rutka for her significant contributions to the university’s growth, her dedicated work as a researcher, lecturer, and Rector, and wishes her success in pursuing her new creative endeavors. He is confident that the upcoming books by Professor Rutka will be a valuable contribution not only to the Latvian academic community but also to RISEBA students and faculty. He emphasized that Lūcija Rutka’s exceptional professionalism, humanity, and sense of responsibility have always set a standard of excellence in the academic field and remain a core value for future collaborations with the university.

Until a new Rector is appointed, the responsibilities of Rector will be fulfilled by Dr.oec. Irina Senņikova, Vice-Rector for Academic and International Affairs. Dr. Senņikova, a co-owner of the university, has been with RISEBA since its establishment and previously served as Rector from 2010 to 2020.
