RISEBA H2O6 is hosting the BAUA Awards 2025

At the end of October, the RISEBA Media Centre H2O6 hosted the BAUA Student Award 2025 – an annual competition aimed at presenting, comparing, and rewarding the best architecture master’s theses from the Baltic States. The event provides a platform for emerging architects from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania to showcase their creative potential and receive feedback and evaluation from professionals and an international jury.

The exhibition and presentations highlight the outcomes and quality of architectural education in the Baltic region, allowing for comparison between different teaching methods and programmes, while also fostering collaboration and connections between young architects and the academic environment.

For the BAUA Awards, higher education institutions in the Baltic States nominate two master’s-level candidates from each architecture programme. This year, the jury selected two young architects from Estonia as the winners.

In total, 14 projects from 7 Baltic architecture schools were submitted for the award, representing:
Riga Technical University, RISEBA University of Applied Sciences, the Estonian Academy of Arts, Tallinn University of Technology, Kaunas University of Technology, Vilnius Academy of Arts, and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University.
