RISEBA Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Rudolfs Dainis Šmits, Receives One of Latvia’s Highest State Awards
RISEBA University of Applied Sciences is proud to announce that Rudolfs Dainis Šmits, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Director of the Professional Master’s Programme Architecture, and practicing architect, has been awarded one of the highest state honours of the Republic of Latvia.
On 18 November, during the celebration of the 107th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, a formal ceremony took place at Riga Castle, where the Order of the Three Stars, the Order of Viesturs, and the Cross of Recognition were presented to 33 outstanding individuals for their contributions to the nation.
Rudolfs Dainis Šmits has been recognised for his significant contribution to the development of architecture and the education of new generations of architects, strengthening the quality, international visibility, and sustainable growth of RISEBA’s architecture programmes.
RISEBA warmly congratulates Rudolfs Dainis Šmits, acknowledging his professional achievements and dedication as an educator, which continue to inspire students, colleagues, and the wider architectural community in Latvia.
