Erasmus+ Project “PTMA – Personal Transnational Mobility Assistant” Concludes – New Digital Solutions for Student Mobility

In August 2025, the Erasmus+ KA220 Cooperation Partnerships project “PTMA – Personal Transnational Mobility Assistant” was successfully completed. Over the course of three years, RISEBA, together with partners from eight European countries, developed innovative tools to strengthen students’ preparedness for international mobility and work-based learning.
The PTMA – Personal Transnational Mobility Assistant project was carried out from September 2022 to August 2025, bringing together eight educational and research organisations from France, Iceland, Italy, Ireland, Spain, Germany, and Latvia. Its main aim was to enhance the sense of safety and confidence among vocational education learners by using digital solutions to support the preparation and implementation of international mobility, particularly in light of the challenges created by COVID-19.
Several significant results were achieved within the project:
- Multi-format smartphone application “Personal Transnational Mobility Assistant” – a practical tool for students that allows for personalised scenarios, the storage of materials, and direct communication with the sending organisation. The app is already available for download from the Apple Store and Google Play.
- Pedagogical guidelines for teachers – methodological support for using the interactive modules and the app, helping educators prepare students for international mobility.
- Interactive learning modules – digital resources designed to expand knowledge and provide practical readiness for participation in transnational programmes.
All materials developed during the PTMA project are freely available for download, use, and adaptation to the needs of each educational institution in several languages: English, French, Latvian, Italian, Spanish, German, and Icelandic.
RISEBA University is proud to have been part of this international cooperation project and to contribute to improving the quality and accessibility of student mobility. All PTMA resources and materials, as well as YouTube links to PTMA video learning materials in Latvian, are available online here.
Further information about the outcomes of the PTMA project is available on dedicated online platforms.
The project was implemented under Key Action 2 of the Erasmus+ programme, “Capacity Building in Vocational Education and Training”, project number 2022-1-FR01-KA220-VET-000086600.
