We are pleased to announce that this year’s summer graduation ceremony will take place on 20 June at 14:00 in Aistere Hall. This is a special moment for our graduates, their families, and the entire RISEBA community to celebrate achievements and mark the end of an important stage of study.
Programme and Important Information
From 12.00 onwards, we will welcome graduates to:
- Sign for diploma collection.
- Collect their ceremonial gowns and caps.
After receiving their gowns and caps, graduates are invited to proceed to Durbes iela 4 (foyer), where:
- Graduates will wait for the start of the event.
- At 13.50, graduates, accompanied by their programme director, will proceed to the graduation ceremony in Aistere Hall.
Please take the opportunity to have your photo taken once you have collected your gown and cap.
Official Ceremony
The official part of the event will begin at 14.00 with the Latvian national anthem, followed by an address from the RISEBA Rector and the congratulation of graduates. Graduates will be invited to the stage from the right-hand side; after receiving their diploma, they will leave the stage from the left-hand side.
During the congratulation, we will give special recognition to students who have completed their studies with Honours or received a Certificate of Appreciation. The award for the most beloved lecturer will take place after all graduates have been congratulated.
The ceremony will conclude with the RISEBA anthem. After the official part of the event, guests will have the opportunity to offer their personal congratulations.
Informal Part
After the official part, graduates are invited to join for a group photograph. The university has also arranged a musical surprise, and during the informal part of the event, there will be an opportunity to enjoy a glass of champagne.
The official part of the event is expected to conclude at approximately 16.30, with the entire event concluding around 19.00.
