On 7 June 2024, RISEBA University will organise the annual International Virtual Conference of Students’ Research and Artistic Works “Changing World – In Search of New Solutions 2024”.
To apply for the “RISEBA” International Virtual Conference of Students’ Research and Artistic Works:
- Fill in the application form until 03.06.2024.
- Confirmation of participation will be displayed in the posted programme on www.riseba.lv website on 05.06.2024.
- Works of the section “Innovative Solutions in Audiovisual Arts and Media” should be submitted on CD or USB to Aigars Ceplitis, [email protected], Durbes iela, Riga, with the indication “RISEBA” International Virtual Conference of Students’ Research and Artistic Works – 2024″ by 03.06.2024.
- Works of the section “Architectural Solutions” should be submitted electronically to Zane Veja, [email protected], with the reference “RISEBA International Student Research Conference – 2024” by 03.06.2024.
- Submit your written paper as well as the presentation of the paper by 03.06.2024. by sending it to e-mail: [email protected]
- Present your paper at the conference 07.06.2024.
- Presentation time at the conference: 8 minutes, discussion time after each paper: 5 – 7 minutes.
Conference format: remotely via the ZOOM online platform.

“Learning business in a changing international affairs environment”
Dr Jans Kevišs-Petuško is an assistant professor at the RISEBA University in Riga, Latvia. His scientific interests focus on international politics, particularly the institutions of the European Union, as well as students’ transition to job market. Since 2006, he works for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia. From 2017 to 2020, he was a leading expert in negotiations concerning the EU Multiannual Financial Framework for 2021-2027 and NextGenerationEU. From 2010 to 2017 he was posted to the Embassy of Latvia to Poland, and currently is working as a Deputy Head of Mission at the Latvian Embassy in France. The professional outcome of his scientific contribution was the development of a Strategy for lobbying national interests in the European Parliament. This strategy was practically adopted during the negotiations on the EU budget and received approval from the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dr Jans Kevišs-Petuško is a holder of several awards highest of them being the Cross of Recognition of the Republic of Latvia.
Mārtiņš Bērtulis “Project Management at Glance” (presentation in English)
Mārtiņš Bērtulis is an experienced IT project manager who has worked for both – internal projects and projects with customers. Unpredictability is his main fear, so he’s trying to plan and be ready even for the smallest trips when going to the market. Mārtiņš is also using his project management experience to organize sports and corporate events.
