SUMMARY OF THE PROGRAMME
 
This is a two years, part-time postgraduate programme. It is designed for those holding a degree or equivalent qualification in subjects other than Business Studies. It typically appeals to engineers, scientists, IT  and arts graduates who are now pursuing or proposing to pursue a career in business. However we have many business and economics graduates in our  programme as well and they   also find   this  programme  rewarding and challenging.         
 
Upon successful  completion  of the programme students  receive  two degrees:
 
·         MBA Degree from the University and of Salford
·         Professional Master’s  Degree in Business Administration from RISEBA

YEAR ONE:
 
INDUCTION – ESSENTIALS OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES
 
BUSINESS AND ITS ENVIRONMENT
The aim of this module is to develop   understanding of the relationships and interdependencies between the major areas of business and to develop an holistic understanding of general management within contemporary organisations. This module is spread over the first year of studies and includes the following areas:

Marketing
Finance
Legal Environment
Human Resources
Operations
Information Technologies  
 
YEAR TWO
 
STRATEGY
 
This module is aimed at providing   students with a thorough grounding in the major issues and perspectives in the formulation and implementation of strategy. Also we will encourage students to adopt a strategic thinking approach in the context of a variety of industries, business market environments and sector specific issues.
 
This module also includes a business simulation which takes place at the University of Salford.
 
ENTREPRENEURIAL LEADERSHIP:  
 
This   module   is aimed at development   students’ individual entrepreneurial leadership skills and competencies.  It will also help you to develop   knowledge, understanding and application of the
Entrepreneurial Process  
Management Development
Systems Thinking and Decision Making
Creativity and the Management of Innovation and Change.  
 
OPTIONS:
You will be required to take two   options from of the list below.

Managing Projects and Supply Chains
Customer Management
Financial Management 
 
 
INDIVIDUAL RESEARCH PROJECT (DISSERTATION)
 
 
 ::PROGRAMME TIMETABLE
The evening sessions are scheduled for Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 17:30 till 21:00. When Salford professors’ sessions take place the schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from17:30 till 21:00 and Saturday from 10.00 till 13.30.
 
::INSTRUCTION
The learning strategy adopted by the University involves a variety of delivery styles. This includes small size teaching groups, tutorial support and one-to-one supervision of project assignments. The teaching style varies from the formal instruction of groups to individual discussion. of Salford
 
 :: ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
  
Candidates who wish to be considered for admission should normally possess a first degree. An equivalent overseas degree is also acceptable. Eligible applicants must have at least three years professional work experience after graduation.
  
Persons applying to the programme must submit:
 
-                     a completed application form
-                     a completed reference form (applicants should arrange for two suitably     qualified persons to act as their referees)
-                     a photocopy of the diploma (an original must be presented);
-                     a photocopy of the passport.  
-                     four photographs 3 x 4 cm;
 
English Language:
Candidates should provide evidence of proficiency in English - IELTS 6.5 band score or a TOEFL score of 575 or above (232 computer based). Please note  that  ‘institutional  TOEFL tests’   are not   accepted!

The tuition fee is 5300 LVL (7 542 Euro. The tuition fee can be paid by instalments.
